LONDON, Oct 15 (AFP): Ticket prices for the 2012 Olympic Games in London will range from 20 pounds (32 dollars) to 2,012 pounds (3,227 dollars), organisers announced Friday.
Around 6.6 million tickets go on sale in March next year and the best seats at the lavish opening ceremony will set fans back a massive 2,012 pounds.
The most expensive ticket for an actual sporting event is 725 pounds (1163 dollars) for the final of the men's 100m. Fans will still be able to attend that same event for 50 pounds (80 dollars) if they get one of the cheap tickets.
Other premium events, such as the cycling finals, will range from 50 pounds (80 dollars) to 325 pounds (521 dollars) and diving finals will cost between 50 pounds (80 dollars) and 450 pounds (721 dollars), while events such as the marathon, road cycling and the triathlon will be free.
