The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) Under-19 team of India trailed by 54 runs against Bangladesh U-19 team after the second day of their three-day match at the BKSP ground-3 in Savar on Monday, reports UNB.
On the second day (Monday), Bangladesh U-19 resumed the first innings with overnight 217 for 9 in 57.3 overs and was dismissed for 221 in 59.2 overs.
In reply, MPCA opened the first innings and scored 167 for 3 in 62 overs, at stumps on the day.
Opener Arpit Gaud scored 64 runs off 114 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes while number two batsman Krishna Soni added 41 and Shivam Tiwari made 23 runs.
In the opening stand, Arpit Gaud pairing with Krishna Soni contributed 105 runs for 1 in 32.2 overs.
Shahbaz Khan and Nitish Lashkari were batting on 9 and 5 runs respectively.
Md Saifuddin, Saleh Ahmed Shawon and Sanjib Saha took one wicket each for 25, 26 and 33 runs respectively.
The day's match was interrupted by rain at 2:00 pm and resumed at 4:45 pm.
