Bangladeshi MMA fighter Manjoor Alam secured a decisive victory against a Thai opponent with a breathtaking knockout performance at the second edition of the international Muay Thai tournament, Double Horse Knockouts on Sunday.

The tournament, successfully held at the Westin, Dhaka marked a significant step in strengthening Bangladesh's presence in the international Muay Thai circuit.

The tournament featured 24 professional fighters from three countries. Fighters from Bangladesh, Thailand, and Kyrgyzstan competed across multiple bouts under internationally recognised Muay Thai standards.

The DHK002 not only delivered high-level international matchups but also highlighted the rise of local Bangladeshi talents, including promising fighters emerging from regions such as Rangamati district, signaling the sport's growing grassroots reach beyond the capital.

Manjoor's performance was one of the most-talked-about moments of the night drawing strong applause from the spectators.

The event was attended by esteemed guests from Jamuna Group and other leading conglomerates, along with delegates from the Embassy of Thailand, reflecting growing corporate and diplomatic engagement with the sport in Bangladesh.

A key highlight of the evening was the formal recognition of Yasin Nazel Islam, director of Jamuna Group, who was awarded the position of chairman for Bangladesh of the World Boxing Council Muay Thai (WBC Muay Thai) -- a milestone development for the structured growth and international alignment of Muay Thai in the country.

Organisers stated that DHK002 aimed to provide Bangladeshi fighters with international exposure through professionally managed competitions adhering to global standards.
