Marcel 4th T20 Corporate Cricket begins on Friday

The Marcel T20 Corporate Cricket Tournament 2014, organized by Udayachal Club, will begin on Friday (Nov 14) at the Dhaka Residential Model School & College ground in Mohammadpur, reports UNB.
Planning Minister and ICC President AHM Mustafa Kamal will inaugurate the 28-team amateur cricket festival Friday morning.
Principal of Dhaka Residential Model College Brig Gen M Asaduzzaman Subhani, BCB Director Ahmed Sajjadul Alam Bobby, Executive Director of RB Group SM Zahid Hasan, Managing Director of Coca Cola Taposh Kumar Mondal and Head of Marcel Mosharaf Hossain Rajib will also be present.
Twenty eight teams, split into seven groups, will initially compete in six fields of three venues-- Dhaka Residential Model School & College, Lalmatia School and Mohammadpur Eidgah ground. The final will be held on December 20.
Officials of the tournament disclosed the details of the meet at a press conference at the BOA Dutch Bangla auditorium on Saturday.
Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, Monir Hossain of Olilio, Javed Ahmed Niaz of Green Delta Insurance, Humayan Kabir of Marcel (Walton) and Rabiul Hasan Sumon also spoke on the occasion.
The champion team will receive a prize money Tk 0.1 million while runners-up team will get Tk 50,000 in addition to 32 and 24 inches LED Television.
No current professional players will be entitled to play in the meet and only graduate cricketers will be allowed to play in the 16-lac budgeted tournament.
