Miraz vows to do well against India

Bangladesh allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz stressed upon the requirements of doing well against India in the upcoming away series, citing that they shouldn't disappoint the country's cricket loving people who have now high expectation on them following an epic success against Pakistan, reports BSS.
The Tigers had recently swept the two-match series against Pakistan to a historic success in the cricket history and it made people belief that they can emulate the success against India too.
"When we play well, everyone's expectations soar to a great degree. It is important that we play well. If we can do that, we will be able to fulfill our own expectations also," Miraz said while talking to the reporters at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city on Monday.
Players of Bangladesh team leave the country on September 15 will play two Tests and three T20 Internationals in the tour. The series opening Test will start on September 19 in Chennai while the Kanpur will host the second and final Test on September 27. The T20 series is slated on October 06, 09 and 12.
Miraz who was adjudged man of the series in Pakistan for his good show with both willow and bowling feels that the series against India will pose different kind of challenge.
"Every series is challenging. We did well in the Pakistan series and there is not much gap between the two series. Everyone has been in cricket and in good stead. If everyone can keep up the consistency, I think surely we can expect something very good against India," he added.
"Unlike the other format, Test cricket is always challenging. You have to keep the rhythm over the five days. Every session, every ball, everything is a challenging for batters, bowlers and everyone. India are definitely a good team. Their bowlers and batters are also very good. We have the experience to play in India and so we know about their wicket well. I think the wicket will be very good there. If we can play the way we played against Pakistan and if we perform without thinking much about the result, I think we can have very good outing India."
While Miraz oozes with confidence to beat India on their own backyard, Rohit Sharma-led side have been invincible at home, not losing any series for more than 4000 days.
