Mohammedan return to winning streak in BPL

Malian forward Souleymane Diabate scored a brace as Mohammedan Sporting Club returned to winning streak in the TVS Bangladesh Premier League football defeating Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by 3-1 goals at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla on Monday, reports BSS.

Apart from Diabate's two goals, midfielder Sheikh Morsalin supported him with a lone goal for Mohammedan who led the first half by 2-1 goals. Mohammedan began to dominate the play and got reap in the 35th minute when Morsalin opened an account scoring the first goal in the 34th minute.

But, the lead lasted for few minutes and Sheikh Jamal restored the parity. Mohammedan's Diabate scored an own goal in the 39th minute to make the score line 1-1.

After resumption, Mohammedan came to the field with more organised way and it was Diabate who scored two more goals to secure Mohammedan's comprehensive victory. He again took the lead scoring the second goal for Mohammedan converting a spot kick in the 43rd minute and finally sealed the victory scoring the third goal again from the spot kick in the 83rd minute of the match.
