Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC) and Abahani Limited earned comfortable wins in the Metropolis Women's Cricket League at BKSP ground in Savar Tuesday, reports UNB.
Mohammedan SC managed 77-run victory over Khelaghor SKS at BKSP ground-4 while Abahani Limited earned a huge 10-wicket win over Dipali Jubo Sangha at BKSP ground-2.
Mohammedan SC batted first after winning the toss and scored 181 runs for all out in 39 overs with middle order Tazia Akter scoring the match-highest 38 runs off 63 balls including five fours.
One-down Rumana Ahmed contributed 35 runs off 48-balls, featuring two boundaries, skipper Salma Akhter quick-fired 26 runs off 14 balls, hitting six fours while Tahin Tahera made 26 runs off 37 balls, including a boundary.
Ritu Moni and Shohaly Akter grabbed three wickets each conceding 32 and 37 runs respectively while Tripti Mondal took two wickets for 28 runs.
In reply, Khelaghor SKS were forced to fold their innings at 104 runs for 9 in stipulated 40 overs with skipper Ritu Moni making 24 runs off 35 balls, hitting three boundaries.
Besides, Nigar Sultana (18) and Sumona Akter (10) were other notable contributors for Khelaghor SKS.
Tahir Tahera, who scored 26 runs and claimed three wickets for 10 runs was adjudged player of the match while Ayesha Rahman took two wickets for 17 runs.
At BKSP ground-2, Dipali Jubo Sangha batted first after winning the toss and were bundled out cheaply for just 23 runs in 24.2 overs with Dolan Akter making the team's highest 6 runs.
Lata Mondal picked up four wickets for just five runs and was adjudged player of the match, Jahanara Alam claimed three wickets for six runs while Suborna Islam took two wickets for four runs.
In reply, Abahani Limited easily reached their target scoring the match-winning 24 runs without any loss in 6.2 overs.
Montaha Khatun and Sharmin Sultana were unbeaten on 11 and 8 runs respectively.
