Muhith chief patron

A 75-memebr organizing committee has been formed with Finance Minister AMA Muhith as chief patron for the upcoming Asian Games Qualifying Round Hockey Tournament that will be held May 7-16 in the city, reports UNB.
The decision was taken at the organizing committee meeting held at the National Sports Council conference room Tuesday with its chairman State Minister for Youth and Sports Ahad Ali Sarkar in the chair.
Besides, the meeting also formed nine sub-committees in order to make the tournament a success.
The proposed budget of the tournament has been estimated at Tk 50 lakh.
Seven countries - Singapore, Oman, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and hosts Bangladesh - will take part in the tournament.
