Mukitijoddha finish runners-upin Bangladesh League

Muktijoddha Sangsad KC finished runners-up in the Grameenphone Bangladesh League crushing giant killer Rahmatganj MFS by 5-1 goals in their last league engagement at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Saturday, reports UNB. In the day's other match, Arambagh KS earned a 3-2 goals victory over Chittagong Mohammedan SC, which helped Farashganj SC (19 points) to escape relegation. And as a result, two port city teams - Chittagong Mohammedan (17) and Chittagong Abahani (5) were relegated from the league. This was the 19th goal of Moga who became the highest scorer in the league. At the Kamlapur stadium, Guinean striker Bangoura Ismael's hattrick helped Arambagh to edge past Chittagong Mohammedan 3-2 today (Saturday). Bangoura made the hattrick scoring three goals in the 37th, 39th and 90+2 minutes for Arambagh while Jerry Odesco and Jahangir netted one goal each for Chittagong Mohammedan in the 34th and 80th minutes respectively.
