Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra again advanced to the 3rd slot in the Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League beating Brothers Union Club by a solitary goal at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj on Wednesday, reports UNB
Nkwocha Kingsley scored the match-winning goal for the freedom fighters' team in the 61st minute.
By virtue of the day's win, Muktijoddha SKC have secured 43 points from 25 matches to topple Dhaka Mohammedan SC (41 points from 25 matches) while Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union remained in the 5th place with their previous credit of 37 points, also playing 25 outings.
In the other league match between two lowly teams, Feni Soccer Club, riding on a hat-trick by Landing Darboe, outplayed bottom-ranked Uttar Baridhara Club by 4-1 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital.
Landing Darboe made the hat-trick scoring three goals in the 59th, 76th and 84th minutes while Ali Hasan opened the account for Feni Soccer Club in the 9th minute.
Dulal Hasan scored the consolation goal for Uttar Baridhara Club in the 69th minute.
Ahsanul Kabir of Uttar Baridhara Club got marching order in the 51st minute after receiving direct red card.
After the match, Feni Soccer Club secured 18 points from 25 matches and was placed in the 9th slot while Uttar Baridhara Club remained at the bottom in the 10-team fray with 12 points from 25 encounters.
After a recess for two days, Dhaka Abahani Limited will play Sheikh Russell KC at Bangabandhu National Stadium while Chittagong Abahani Limited will encounter team BJMC at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong on Saturday.
