Muktijoddha beat Sheikh Russell by 3-1

Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra beat defending champions Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra 3-1 in the third leg of the Nitol -Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj Thursday, reports UNB.

Muktijoddha took a joint-third slot with Mohammedan SC both securing 37 points. Muktijodha secured the points from 23 matches, while Mohammedan from 22 matches.

Sheikh Russell KC remained in the sixth position with 29 points also from 23 matches.

In Thursday's match Enamul fired the net first to put Muktijoddha ahead at the dead-end of the first half while Mithun of Sheikh Russell restored the parity in the 50th minute.

Nkocha Kingsley again put Muktijoddha forward just a minute later and Sunday doubled the margin in the 67th minute to seal the win.
