Muktijoddha face Sheikh Russell today

The 23rd round of the Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League will begin today (Thursday) with Muktijoddha Sangsad KC taking on defending champions Sheikh Russell KC on the day at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj, reports UNB.
The freedom fighters' team Muktijoddha SKC are in the 4th slot in the league table with 34 points from 22 matches while holders Sheikh Russell KC went down to the 6th position in the 10-team league with 29 points from 22 encounters.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club is comfortably dominating the league table securing 51 points, followed by Dhaka Abahani Limited with 40 points and Dhaka Mohammedan SC with 37 points, playing 22 matches each.
The remaining 22nd round match between bottom ranked Uttar Baridhara Club and lowly Team BJMC, which was postponed on Tuesday in the dying moment showing unavoidable circumstance, will be held on Friday (July 4) at 4 pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Feni Soccer Club will play Chittagong Abahani Limited in their 23rd round match also on Friday at 7:30 pm at the same venue.
