Muktijoddha finish 3rd beating Feni Soccer in premier football

Muktijoddha Sangsad KC finished 3rd in the Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League beating Feni Soccer Club by 1-0 goal at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Tuesday, reports UNB.
With the feat, Muktijoddha SKC raised their tally to 46 points from 26 matches to confirm the 3rd slot in the 10-team fray while Feni Soccer remained in the 9th place with their previous credit of 18 points, also playing 26 matches.
Earlier, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club clinched the league title securing 61 points from 26 matches while Dhaka Abahani Limited were in distant 2nd position collecting 49 points from 26 encounters.
Nigerian booter Elita Kingsley scored the match-winning goal for the freedom fighters' team in 34th minute by a cool placing shot from vantage position, utilising a low cross of another Nigerian Sunday Chizoba from right flank (1-0).
Another Nigerian forward of Muktijoddha SKC Nkowcha Kingsley came close to double the margin in the 57th minute but his right footer was tackled by Feni Soccer defender Akramuzzman Liton at the cost of corner.
In the remaining league matches, Sheikh Jamal DC will play against last year champions Sheikh Russell KC on Thursday (July 24) while Dhaka Abahani Limited will face Chittagong Abahani on Wednesday (July 23).
Wednesday's matches: Brothers Union Ltd vs Team BJMC (BNS), and Dhaka Abahani vs Chittagong Abahani (MA Aziz Stadium, Chittagong).
