Muktijoddha move to semis in Fed Cup

Muktijoddha Sangsad KC advanced to the semi-final of the Walton Federation Cup Tournament eliminating Brothers Union Club by 2-0 goal in the 3rd quarterfinal at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
After a barren first half, Nigerian striker Nkwocha Kingsley scored both the goals for the freedom fighters team.
Muktijoddha SKC will play the 2nd semifinal against the winners of Sheikh Russell KC and Team BJMC.
Abahani Limited will play the first semifinal against star-studded Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, which booked a semifinal berth eliminating Dhaka Mohammedan SC 3-1 in the first quarterfinal on Friday.
In the day's match, Nigerian forward Nkwocha Kingsley put Muktijoddha SKC ahead in the 62nd minute, tapping the ball home at the far corner of the net utilising Biplob header off a corner kick by Enamul Haque (1-0).
Nkwocha Kingsley confirmed the Muktijoddha victory in the 70th minute scoring his second goal with a spectacular header off a Shafiqul Islam Bipul cross from the left wing (2-0).
