Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored 11 runs in the Bashundhara Cement ODI series (77 runs in the 4th, 33 runs in the 3rd, 27 runs in the 2nd, and 65 runs in the 1st match), was adjudged player of the series, reports UNB.

In the day's match, chasing nominal target of 129 runs, Bangladesh began dismally but reached the target scoring 130 runs for 5 in 24.3 overs, much to the relief of anxious home crowd.

Mahmudullah, who hit his carrier-best unbeaten 82 runs in the 4th match on Friday, made his 11th ODI half-century scoring not out 51 runs off 55 balls with 10 fours to be the day's highest scorer for Bangladesh.

Debutant Soumya Sarkar smashed 20 runs off 18 balls with four fours while Sabbir Rahman (not out 13) and Tamim Iqbal (10) were the other double digit scorers for the home side.

Tendai Chatara grabbed three wickets for 44 runs while Tinashe Panyangara took two wickets for 49 runs, both bowled quota 10 overs.

Earlier, Bangladesh restricted Zimbabwe at 128 runs in 30 overs as debutant spin bowler Taijul Islam grabbed four wickets while all rounder Shakib Al Hasan claimed three wickets and Jubair Hossain took two, as the visitors batted first after winning the toss.

Zimbabwe faced early jolt losing opening batsman Sikandar Raza (9),  who was caught by Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim off ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza with scoreboard showing 16 runs for 1 in 4.5 overs.

Opener Hamilton Masakadza pairing with number three Vusi Sibanda tried to repair the early damage contributing 79 runs in 12.5 overs,  in the second wicket stand, before H Masakadza was bowled by Jubair Hossain with team score 95 for 2 in 17.4 overs. Jubair later took another wicket - of Timycen Maruma (1) -- to complete his two-wicket haul for 41 runs in 8 overs.

H Masakadza scored team highest 52 runs off 54 balls with five fours and three six.

Vusi Sibanda was the only other double digit scorer for the visitors with 37 runs off 51 balls that included three fours before being caught by Mashrafe Mortaza off Shakib Al Hasan at 109 for 4 in 22.5 overs.

Debutant Tajul Islam's four wickets included Solomon Mire (9), Tinashe Panyangara (0), John Nyumbu (3) and Tendai Chatara (0) for 11 runs in 7 overs.

Dependable all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan grabbed three wickets --Brendan Taylor (9), Vusi Sibanda(37) and Tafadzwa Kamungozi (2) --for 30 runs in 7 overs.

Earlier, on their way to a 4-0 lead, Tigers beat Zimbabwe by 21 runs in the fourth match on November 28 and by a massive 124 runs in the third match on November 26 at SBNCS, Mirpur. Earlier, they won by 68 runs in the second match on November 23 and won the first match by 87 runs -- the first ODI victory for home side in 2014 -- at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on November 21.

On their way to complete the one and a half month long 3-match Test and 5-match Basundhara Cement ODI series, Bangladesh earlier completed their first-ever historic 3-0 series victory in the longer version of cricket defeating Zimbabwe by 186 runs in the third Test match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

Bangladesh won the second Test by 162 runs at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium, Khulna, and the first by three wickets at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka.

After that 3-0 Test series win, Bangladesh rose to number nine in the ICC Test rankings with 32 rating points, condemning Zimbabwe (18 rating points) to the last place.
