Bangladesh showed impressive rearguard spirit to defy South Africa's all-pace attack, reaching a useful 250 on the first day of the second Test at Centurion Wednesday. Junaid Siddique's 67 appeared to be Bangladesh's only innings of substance before their wicketkeeper, the promising Mushfiqur Rahim, cracked 65 from 86 to irritate South Africa. Mushfiqur put on 54 for the last wicket with Mahbubul Alam who made 1, while Morne Morkel and Makhaya Ntini each took four wickets.
South Africa's all-seam attack maintained their dominance over Bangladesh, picking up six wickets by tea in the second Test against Bangladesh at Centurion.
