Mushfiqur hits ton as all three matches end in a draw in NCL

Mushfiqur Rahim hit a century to highlight the second round of the 27th National Cricket League (NCL) which saw three matches ended in a draw and one match produced a result, reports BSS.

Rajshahi beat Khulna by seven wickets inside three days while the three other matches which was severely affected by inclement weather predictably ended in a draw.

In Sylhet, despite Mushfiqur Rahim's century, his team Sylhet salvaged a draw against Dhaka Division at Sylhet Academy ground.

Mushfiqur was on 93 as Sylhet began the fourth and final day with 260-7. They added just 30 runs to the overnight total before being all out for 290.

Mushfiqur, however, scored 22 of those 30 but was not able to help the side gain a lead after being the last batter out, as Sylhet conceded a 20-run first innings lead.

In Cox's Bazar, Rangpur batters held their nerve collectively to deny Mymensingh Division a victory at Cox's Bazar Academy Ground. The match was consistently intervened by inclement weather with the Day 3

being washed out entirely.

Resuming the fourth and final day at 18-2, Rangpur were bowled out for just 127 in the first innings in 45.1 overs, in reply to Mymensingh's mammoth 555- 6 declared.

In another match in Cox's Bazar, middle order batter Salman Hossain Emon hit a century as Barishal held Chattogram for a draw at Cox's Bazar International Stadium.

Resuming the day at 166-2, Barishal declared their first innings at 259-4 on the fourth and final day of the game, still trailing by 99 runs of Chattogram's 358 all out.

Chattogram then batted four overs to declare 35 for no loss, sending Barishal batting again with the target of 135 for a victory.
