Mymensingh DSA emerged group champions with an all-win record to reach the five-team super league of the 27th National Hockey Champion-ship eliminating Bangladesh Air Force by 2-0 goals at the Moulana Bhasani National Stadium in the city Monday, reports UNB.
In the day's match, captain Rana put Mymensingh DSA ahead in the 38th minute from a penalty corner while Jitu confirmed the winners' victory scoring a field-goal in the 40th minute.
In the day's another match, Patuakhali DSA that came from behind tasted the first victory in their third and last group match beating all-losers Bangladesh Police by 5-1 goals at the same venue on the day.
Bangladesh Police took lead in the very 9th minute as Mahmudul found the Patuakhali net by a field goal.
Ranjan struck twice and Arif netted one for Patuakhali to lead the first half by 3-1 goals.
Sweet and Mahbub netted two more goals in the second half to win the match by 5-1 goals.
