Narinda Junior Lions Club and Araf Sporting Club will play in the final of the Dhaka City Corporation (North & South) Pioneer Football League at Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) in the city tomorrow (Monday), reports UNB.
The final will begin at 4:30 pm.
Narinda JLC reached the final beating Kollol Sangha, Ctg by 4-2 goals in the first semifinal at BNS while Araf SC confirmed their final berth defeating Tangail Football Academy by 3-2 goals in the 2nd semifinal at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on May 25 and 26 respectively.
The finalist teams played 11 matches in the tournament and each team drew one match in the first round while lost one match apiece in the super league stage against their rivals.
While talking to reporters Saturday, Narinda JLC Captain Mohammad Rayhan said, "We'll play our best to win the crown."
On the other hand, Araf SC Captain Hafizul Islam Shawon said, "We'll play regarding with three principles-fighting, fair play and sporting-to win the title."
Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Abdul Latif Siddique will be present at the closing ceremony as the chief guest while Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy will be the special guest.
The champion team will receive Tk 100000 as prize money with a trophy while runners-up team will get Tk 50,000 with a trophy.
Besides, player of the final, player of the tournament and highest scorer of the tournament will receive special prizes.
Apart from this, all audience of the final match will get at least 10 gift items from sponsor organisation, additional director and head (games & sports) of the meet sponsor Walton (RB group) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar told reporters at a pre-final press briefing held at Bangladesh Football Federation conference room Saturday.
Deputy Chairman of the tournament committee Bijon Barua was also spoke at the press conference.
