Nasum makes big move as Hridoy, Saif gain in ICC rankings

Bangladesh spinner Nasum Ahmed made a significant leap in the latest ICC T20 International bowling rankings following his consistent performances against Australia, while batters Towhid Hridoy and Saif Hasan also registered notable gains despite the team's series defeat, reports BSS.

Bangladesh, who recently celebrated their first-ever ODI series victory over Australia, suffered a 3-0 whitewash in the subsequent T20I series. However, several players were rewarded individually in the International Cricket Council (ICC) updated rankings.

Left-arm spinner Nasum climbed 27 places to 11th in the T20I bowlers' rankings, equaling the second best position of his career after impressing throughout the three-match series, the ICC said in a press release today.

Hridoy, who led Bangladesh during the series, rose nine places to 30th in the T20I batting rankings after scoring 105 runs across three matches. Saif Hasan also enjoyed a strong rise, moving up 13 spots to joint 35th.
