National Cricket League sixth round begins tomorrow

The sixth round matches of the four-day Walton 16th National Cricket League (NCL) will begin tomorrow (Monday) at four separate venues in Dhaka and its adjoining areas, reports UNB.
On the sixth round opening day's matches, defending champion Dhaka Division will face league leader Rangpur Division at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city while Rajshahi Division will play against Barisal Division on the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) Ground-2.
In the two other matches, upper ranked in the points table Khulna Division will play against Dhaka Metropolis on the BKSP Ground-3 while bottom ranked Chittagong Division will face Sylhet Division at the Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
After the fifth round of the eight-team battle, Rangpur Division earned 87 points with three wins and two draws to take the top slot, coming back from their previous third position, putting Dhaka Division down to third.
Khulna Division retained their previous second place on the basis of net run rate bagged 86 points with three wins one loss and a draw followed by Dhaka Division with identical 86 points playing three wins and two draws.
Bagging 67 points, Dhaka Metro maintained the fourth place with two wins one loss and two draws while Rajshahi Division bagged 45 points also retained their previous fifth place with win-draw 1-1 and three losses.
Barisal Division leapfrogged Sylhet Division to take sixth position while Chittagong Division remained in their previous 8th place securing 33, 30 and 22 points respectively.
