Navy, Dhaka, Patuakhali win

Bangladesh Navy blanked Narayanganj 3-0 in the Salton Pharmaceuticals National Hockey Championship at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the city Friday, reports BSS.
Bulbul Islam pulled off the lead for Navy with his seventh minute strike, while Mamun Hossain gave the winners a 2-0 first half lead hitting the board on 34th minute.
Mustak put a Navy win beyond doubt on 59th minute increasing the scoreline 3-0.
Later, Dhaka district recorded a resounding 8-0 victory against Chittagong district in the second match of the day thanks to a hat-trick from national striker Russell Mahmud Jimmy.
Dhaka took an overwhelming 6-0 lead before the break. Iqbal Nazir opened the goal-glut just after three minutes before Imtiaz Ahmed Rubel doubled the advantage in the seventh minute, while Imran Ahmed Sohel made it 3-0 for Dhaka in the very next minute.
Jimmy then took up his job and took the winners' advantage to 6-0 with his successive strikes on 13th, 15th and 19th minutes. His third goal came from a penalty corner.
Dhaka side struck two more goals after the change of ends with the both coming from penalty corners.
Mustafizur Rahman Dinar converted a penalty corner three minutes after the re-start, while Ibrar Ahmed Babar scored on 53rd minute to complete the Chittagong's annihilation.
Mymensingh outplayed Patuakhali 4-1 after leading the first half by the barest of margin in the other fixture of the day.
Rahat scored the lone goal of the first half in the second minute before their forwards showed their goal-scoring abilities after the breather.
Jitu scored the second on 40th minute, while Jhunu awarded the Mymensingh side a healthy 3-0 lead in the 46th minute.
Patuakhali scored their only goal in the 49th minute through a penalty corner conversion by Rupam (3-1) before Rahat signed off a Mymensingh victory successfully with his second goal in the match on 52nd minute (4-1).
