`Debashish Chowdhury, the Bangladesh cricket team's chief physician, confirmed that Nayeem Hasan has been ruled out of the second Test against Sri Lanka due the finger injury he sustained in the opening game of the two-match series according to Cricbuzz.

Chowdhury also added that chances of the offspinner making the cut for the Test series against West Indies appeared slim, considering he'll need three to four weeks to recover from the injury.

"Nayeem is certainly ruled out from the second Test against Sri Lanka as he fractured his finger. He will need at least three to four weeks to recover and taking that into consideration it looks he is unlikely to make in the West Indies Test squad," said Chowdhury.

Meanwhile, Chowdhury is hoping that Mehedy Hasan, who missed the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka due to finger injury during the last edition of Dhaka Premier League, will be available during the West Indies tour.
