NoFeL Sporting Club will play against Saif Sporting Club in the final of Walton Under-18 Football Tournament at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur in the city today (Tuesday), reports UNB.
The match will kick off at 3 pm.
In a pre-match press conference on Monday at the BFF House in Motijheel in the city, NoFeL trainer Akbar Hossain said despite being the underdogs they will give a tough fight against Saif SC.
"We weren't well-prepared ahead of the tournament. Even, we started our campaign as the underdogs. But, our dream was to reach the final and now we are here. Saif SC are strong side but we will give them a tough fight in the final," Akbar added.
On the other hand, Saif trainer Kamal Babu said, "We have participated here with the target of producing quality footballers for the club and we have done it. Our target was to play the final and we made it successfully. Now, we are eyeing for the cup."
Besides, Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Abdus Salam Murshedy, General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, Executive Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn and two key players from the two teams were also present on the occasion.
