North trail by 223 runs against Metro

Dhaka Division North were trailing by 223 runs against Dhaka Metro on the first day of the three-day Young Tigers Under-18 National Cricket Tournament at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar Thursday, reports UNB.
In the other match at Cox's Bazar-2, Rajshahi Division were behind Dhaka Division South by 71 runs on the first day.
Winning the toss, Dhaka Metro decided to bat first and they scored 234 runs for all in 82.2 overs riding on a second wicket stand of 73 runs in 33.3 overs by Samim Iqbal and Shakib Murad.
Samim Iqbal scored the team highest 47 runs while skipper Rakib (43), Aryan Fahim (35), Shakib Murad (34), Sentu (23) and Maidul Islam Rana (not out 19) were the other notable scorers for their side.
Rakeb Mahmud grabbed four wickets for 42 runs while Shahibul Motin and Taiyeb Alam took two wickets each for 25 and 26 runs respectively.
