NSU, BRAC university advance to quarters

North South University (NSU) and BRAC University advanced to the quarterfinals of the United Group Faraaz Inter-University Gold Cup Football Tournament eliminating their rivals at Kamalpur Stadium in the city on Saturday, reports UNB.

In the day's first match, a brilliant hat-trick by Mridul enabled North South University to pile up an impressive 8-1 goals victory over State University.

Mridul made his hat-trick scoring goals at 11th, 43rd and 63rd minutes respectively for NSU while his teammates Sadat scored twice and Akib, Anik and Osman netted one goal each.

Sabuj scored the lone goal for the State University.
