NSU face IUB tomorrow

Holders North South University (NSU) and Independent University-Bangladesh (IUB) advanced to the final of the Mentors' Inter-Private University Football tournament winning their respective semis at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamlapur Thursday, reports UNB.
The final will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at the same venue.
In the day's semifinals, NSU beat IUBAT by 6-5 goals in the tiebreaker as the match was locked 1-1 during the stipulated period.
In the regulation time, Ijaz put North South University ahead in the 54th minute while Farhad restored parity for IUBAT (International University for Business, Agriculture & Technology) in the 58th minute.
Later, Farhad was adjudged best player of the match.
In the tiebreaker, Ijaz, Asif, Shawon, Biral, Ronny and Hridoy scored for the winners while Farhad, Rajib, Sohel, Jalil and Ronny netted for the losers.
In the day's other semis, Independent University-Bangladesh (IUB) defeated United International University-Bangladesh by 4-2 goals in the tie breaker as the match was locked goalless during the scheduled time.
