Orient Bread Tokai Kabaddi Competition begins tomorrow

The Orient Bread Tokai Kabaddi Competition, organised by Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation and sponsored by Orient Bread, begins tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Kabaddi Stadium in the city, reports UNB.
Six teams split into two groups will take part in the competition. Later, the two group champions will directly play the final on October 26.
Participating teams: Tokai Gulistan, Tokai Paltan, Tokai Stadium, Tokai Mirpur, Tokai Syedabad terminal and Tokai Khilgaon.
Of the estimated Tk 95,000 budget, the sponsors will provide Tk 75,000. Each member of the champion team will receive prize bond worth Tk 500 while members of the runners team will get prize bond of Tk 300 each.
Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation general secretary Mohammad Nazrul Islam disclosed the details at a press conference at the National Sports Council (NSC) conference room Monday afternoon.
Orient Bread owner Mahbubuzzaman and other high officials of the Federation were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Nazrul Islam said they are organizing the tournament to provide some recreation for the underprivileged `tokai' (street children).
