Left-arm pacer Abu Hider Rony has been included in the Bangladesh squad for the Afghanistan match of the Tri-nation T20 series to be played today (Sunday) at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur in the city, reports UNB.
Apart from Sunday's match against Afghanistan, hosts Bangladesh will play Zimbabwe again on September 18 and Afghanistan again on September 21 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
Two top teams will play the final on September 24 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur in the city.
Abu Hider Rony has so far played 13 T20s with the last one on December 22 last year against West Indies.
The southpaw is one of the bowlers who are consistently played well in domestic cricket over the last few years. But he failed to replicate his performance in the international circuit. In his 13 T20s, Rony bagged only six wickets for 330 runs with the best figure of two for 40 runs.
Bangladesh squad: Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Litton Kumer Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmud Ullah, Afif Hossain, Musaddek Hossain Saikat, Shabbir Rahaman, Taijul Islam, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Shaif Uddin, Mustafizur Rahman, Yasin Arafat Mishu and Abu Hider Rony.
