Pakistan cricket team in Dhaka for Test series


The Pakistan team arrived in Dhaka on Sunday for a two-match Test series against Bangladesh, reports BSS.
The series is part of the ICC World Test Championship cycle. Captain Shan Masood will lead the 16-member squad. All members of the touring party have
reached the Bangladesh capital except star batter Babar Azam, who is set to join the squad after featuring in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final later on Sunday. Pakistan will face Bangladesh, led by Nazmul Hossain Shanto, in the opening Test beginning on May 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The second Test is scheduled to be held from May 16 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Among those yet to make their Test debut are Abdullah Fazal, Azan
Awais, Amad Butt, and wicketkeeper-batter Ghazi Ghori. In addition to changes in the playing squad, Pakistan has also restructured
its support staff, with former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed taking charge of the Test team as coach.
Pakistan Test squad: Shan Masood (captain), Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Muhammad Ghazi Ghori (wicketkeeper), Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
