Panchagarh, BJMC reach final

Team BJMC and Panchagarh District Sports Association reached the final of the Walton Air Conditioner National Youth (U-19) Women's Handball Tournament eliminating their respective rivals in the semifinals at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city Saturday, reports UNB.

BJMC and Panchagarh will play final Tuesday at 3:30 pm at the same venue while Jamalpur and Naogaon will lock horn in the Sunday's third place deciding match at 3:30 pm.

In the day's first semifinal, BJMC crushed Jamalpur DSA by 24-0 goals. Shirina scored highest 7 goals for the winner while Sumi added 6 goals.

In the other semifinal, Panchagarh DSA outplayed Naogaon DSA by 19-9 goals. Rubina scored the highest 6 goals for the winning team and Masuda scored 5 goals.
