Former Sri Lanka captain all-rounder Thisara Perera on Sunday joined Comilla Victorians to play in the remaining matches of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), reports UNB.
The Victorians played three matches so far in the BPL and managed two wins.
They were captained by Steve Smith who left the contest due to a nasty hand injury.
Imrul Kayes, the left-handed opener, led the Victorians in their last match against Rajshahi Kings.
Thisara Perera played in the last BPL back in 2017 for Rangpur Riders and helped them to clinch the title performing well in eight matches.
Thisara came to BPL after some tremendous all-round performance during Sri Lanka's New Zealand tour.
In the three One Day Internationals (ODIs) in New Zealand he scored 4, 140 and 80 respectively and took two wickets. His inclusion will surely boost the confidence of the Victorians who was upset after losing the service of Steve Smith.
