Pioneer Football League kicks off in city today

The Dhaka City Corporation (north and south) Pioneer Football League (under-16) will be inaugurated today (Tuesday) at the Outer Stadium adjoining the Bangabandhu National Stadium with a match between Tangail Sports Association and Football Sports Forum at 3:00 pm, reports BSS.

LGRD Minister Syed Ashraful Islam will inaugurate the meet as the chief guest while Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports and chairman of the Pioneer Football League committee Arif Khan Joy will be the special guest.

A total of 60 schools are participating in the competition that would be held in six venues in Dhaka city.

The champions team will receive Tk 0.1 million (one lakh) while the runners-up Tk 50,000.00 as prize money.

In this connection, a press conference was held at the Bangladesh Football Federation conference room Monday.

Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports and chairman of the Pioneer Football League committee Arif Khan Joy, deputy chairman Bijon Barua, BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag were present on the occasion.
