Pioneer Football to begin tomorrow

The super league matches of the Dhaka South and North City Corporations Pioneer (Under-16) Football will begin tomorrow (Friday) at separate city venues, reports UNB.

A total 20 teams, split into four groups, will compete in the super league.

Grouping of the league was finalised at a ceremonial draw at Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) office Wednesday.

Former BFF joint secretary and famed footballer Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu, deputy chairman of Pioneer Football League Committee Bijon Barua, BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag and former national skipper Jewel Rana were present on the occasion.

Participating teams are: Group A - Madarbari Shovania Club, Chittagong; London Tigers, Sylhet; Bangladesh Boys Club, Chittagong, Abdul Hadi Lane Jubo Sangha and Uttara Friends Club.

Group B: Khilgaon Jagaroni Sangsad, Hasnabad Sporting Club, Dhaka Ansar & VDP, Tangail Football Academy and Lalbagh Tarun Sangha.

Group C - Bangladesh Football Supporters Forum, Eli Smriti Sangsad,

Mirpur Sports & Physical Culture Centre, Dhanmondi Football Academy

and Tota Sports Academy.

Group D -Fakirerpool Surjo Tarun Sangha, Gazipur City Football Academy, Arambagh Football Aca- demy, Bangladesh Sporting Club and Uttaran Jubo Sangha.
