Abahani Limited took a solo lead in the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League with an all-win record beating Sonali Bank SRC by 2-1 goals at the Maulana Bhasani National Stadium in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.
The popular Dhanmondi outfit Abahani Limited secured 15 points from five matches while the bankers' team remained at their previous credit of three points playing five matches.
In the day's match, Puskhor Khisha Mimo netted twice for Abahani while Masum scored the consolation goal for Sonali Bank. In the day's other match, Ajax SC outplayed Azad SC by 4-0 goals at the same venue. After the day's match, Ajax SC secured seven points while Azad SC remained at their previous one point playing five matches each.
