Premier Hockey Sonali Bank win over Wari Club

Coming from behind, Sonali Bank made a good start in the Green Delta Insurance Metropolis Premier Division Hockey League beating Wari Club by 3-2 goals at the Maulana Bhashani National Stadium in the city on Sunday, reports UNB.

Al Nahian Shuvo, Prosenjit Roy and Irfanul Haque netted one field goal each for the winners while Ashique Mahmud and Shamir Roy scored one field goal each for the losers.

The day's other match between Bangladesh Sporting Club and Sadharan Bima KS ended in a 2-2 draw at the same venue.

Iqbal Nadir Prince scored both the goals for Bangladesh SC while Abdullah Al Mansur and Faisal Hossain scored one each for the insurance men's team.

The day's other match between Dhaka Abahani Limited and Bangladesh Police was cancelled for heavy downpour in the capital.
