Prime Bank chess begins in Natore

The Prime Bank 30th National Sub-Junior (Under-16 years) Chess Championship, sponsored by Prime Bank Limited and organised by Natore District Sports Association supported by Bangladesh Chess Federation began Saturday at Natore Sankar Gobinda Chowdhury Stadium Bhavan, reports BSS.
State Minister for youth and sports Ahad Ali Sarkar inaugurated the event as the chief guest.
Mujibur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Natore, Rakibul Islam Police Super of Natore, Advocate Hanif Ali Sheik, General Secretary of Natore Awami League, Mirza Enamul Hossain, Vice-President of Bangladesh Chess Federation, M Mokaddes Hossain, General Secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation, Masudur Rahman Mallick Dipu, Joint-Secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation, Sultan Abdul Majid, President of Tournament Committee, and Touhidur Rahman Toffee were present as special guests in the inauguration ceremony.
A total of 41 players from 16 districts are participating in the event.
20 players earned full point by winning their first round game. The event is being held in 9 round Swiss-League system.
