Prime Bank maintain top slot in DPL Cricket

Prime Bank Cricket Club maintained the top slot in the Walton Dhaka Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League (DPL) beating holder Legends of Rupganj by 95 runs in their eighth match at BKSP-3, Savar Wednesday, reports UNB.
With the win, the Prime Bank CC bagged 14 points from their eight encounters.
Sent in to bat first, Prime Bank CC scored 243 runs for 9 in stipulated 50 overs.
Number five Shuvagata Hom scored team highest 46 runs off 59 balls with four fours while number seven Nurul Hasan smashed 41 runs off 33 balls with three fours and two sixes, and Taiabur Parvez (39), Forhad Reza (32) Brendan Taylor (23), opening batsman Saykat Ali (27) and opener Soumya Sarker (17) were the other double digit scorers for their side.
Nayeem Islam (Jr) and Rubel Hossain grabbed two wickets each for 48 and 58 runs respectively, both bowling 10 overs. Sharif Ullah, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and Mosharraf Hossain took one wicket each for 7, 32 and 38 runs respectively in 3, 10 and 10 overs.  Chasing a target of 244 runs, Legends of Rupganj were all out for 148 runs in 39.1 overs.
Opener Jahurul Islam scored team highest 53 runs from 84 deliveries with four fours while Ryan Ten Doeschate 40 runs facing 44 balls with a four and four sixes and number eight Nazmul Milon (14), skipper Shakib Al Hasan (11) and Mosharraf Hossain (10) were the other double digit scorers for the losing side.
Taijul Islam was the most successful bowler grabbing four wickets for 32 runs in 8.1 overs while Shuvagata Hom and Forhad Reza took two wickets for 7 and 28 runs respectively in 3 and 7 overs. Pacer Taskin Ahmed took one wicket for 26 runs in 7 overs.
