Purbokone secure championship

CHITTAGONG, Nov 20 (BSS): The Daily Purbokone of Chittagong secured championship of Kishwan Media Cup Football Tournament held at MA Aziz Stadium Friday.
The Purbokone defeated The Daily Kaler Kontho by 1-0.
Farid Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chittagong distributed prizes among the winning team and runner- ups as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Farid Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury said journalists are always busy with their profession. So, they need refreshment sometimes and such tournament is a tonic for them.
MA Motaleb, Chairman of Kishwan Limited; Mostak Ahmed, President of Chittagong Union of Journalists; Mohammad Shanewaz, General Secretary of Chittagong Metropolitan Union of Journalists; A Z M Nasir Uddin, Chairman of Port City Cricket League; Ali Abbas, President of Media Committee of Chittagong; and Shirazuddin Mohammad Alamgir, General Secretary of Divisional Krira Sangstha, were among others, present at the function.
