Rahimafrooz selects 10 lucky consumers

Rahimafrooz Group selected 10 lucky consumers in the city Tuesday. Of them, one will watch the inaugural ceremony and opening match of the FIFA World Cup-2010 in South Africa next June.
Rahimafrooz, the exclusive franchisee of the full-range of lubricant brand Castrol in Bangladesh, has randomly selected them through a mega draw tiled, "Go to South Africa with Castrol" at the National Press Club.
"We've selected the 10 lucky consumers to be followed by the selection of the lucky winner who will be given the chance to be part of the greatest show on earth," said Parvez Saiful Islam, chief operating officer of Rahimafrooz Distribution Ltd.
"We'll call the first winner to check whether he has a valid passport or not. If he doesn't, we'll call the second one, according to the list. The winner who can show valid documents will be sent to South Africa," he said and added the final winner would be declared later this month.
The mega prizes of the programme, include motorbikes and helmets. The consumers had also won instant gifts of footballs, soccer jerseys, notebooks, key-rings and pens with the purchase of selected Castrol products.
The consumers had sent the hidden code in the scratch card they got after buying Castrol products through short message service (SMS). The received codes were stored and used in the lottery draw of the grand prize. A total 9,500 SMS were received during this promotion event.
Castrol being one of the global sponsors of FIFA world cup-2010 and 2014 had launched a worldwide consumer promotion inviting its customers to watch the inaugural programme and first match of the world cup from the ground of South Africa. The promotion continued from February 1 to April 25.
The FIFA World Cup-2010 would be formally inaugurated at Johannesburg in South Africa on June 11. The host nation would face Mexico in the opening match of the month-long encounters.
