Rahmatganj draw with Farashganj

Rahmatganj MFS shared point with Farashganj SC when they played to a 2-2 goal draw in their opening Group A match of the Independence Cup Football Tournament at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city on Tuesday, reports UNB. In the day's match, Nigerian recruit Onewkore Felix and Dumba Micheal of Uganda scored one goal each for the old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj MFS while Shymol Ahmed Ronny and Congo striker Siyo Zunapio netted one goal each for Farashganj SC. Ronny put Farashganj SC ahead in the very 9th minute with a right footer inside from danger zone giving no chance to Rahmatganj custodian Himel (1-0) . Nigerian booter Felix restored the parity for Rahmatganj MFS in the 15th minute (1-1). Rahmatganj took lead in the 42nd minute when Dumba Micheal of Uganda placed the ball home with a right footer from the D-box (2-1). Siyo Zunapio levelled the margin for Farashganj SC in the 66th minute (2-2). Earlier, Farashganj SC suffered a 2-4 goals defeat to Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in their opening group match.
