Rain delays start

Rain washed out the entire first-session on the third day of the warm-up match between Sussex and the Indians at Hove. It began raining moments before the scheduled start at 11.00 am and conditions did not improve through the morning session. The umpires decided to push lunch back to 1.30 pm rather than bring it forward because the caterers weren't able to get lunch ready at 1.00 pm, reports Cricinfo.
The loss of time seriously hampered the Indian's chances of pushing for a result. They ended the second day with a significant advantage, having reduced Sussex to 146 for 5 after declaring on 388 for 7.
