Rain puts Edgbaston Test on hold

England and Australia have endured a frustrating day as rain has prevented any play so far on the first day of the third Ashes Test at Edgbaston.
Heavy rain has engulfed the Birmingham area over the last two days and further downpours Thursday added water to an already drenched outfield.
Umpires Rudi Koertzen and Aleem Dar are to have another inspection at 1530 BST. -BBC
