Rajib, Minhaz take joint lead in 7th round

GM Enamul Hossain Rajib and IM M Minhazuddin of Bangladesh Navy Chess team took joint lead in the points table with 6.5 points after the 7th round games of Prime Bank 17th International Rating Chess tournament being held at Chess hall-room in the city Wednesday, reports BSS.

IM Abu Sufian Shakil of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club, FM Aminul Islam and FM Mohammad Javed of Bangladesh Navy, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag and CM Sohel Chowdhury of Leonine Chess Club, Anisuzzaman Jewel and Mohammad Sheraul Kabir of Mir Chess Club shared the 2nd position with 5.5 points.

Nine players are sharing 3rd position with 5 points. They are: Abdullah Al-Saif of Golden Sporting Club, FM M Saif Uddin of Titas Club, Mohammed Enayet Hossain of Fire Service and Civil Defence, M Sarif Hossain of Bangladesh Navy, FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Titas Club, SM Sharon of Bangladesh Navy, Kazi Taherul Islam of Mir Chess, Abul Kashem of Dhaka Chess and Ibrahim Parvez.

The 7th round games held Tuesday, GM Razib beat FM Saif, IM Minhaz beat Enayet, Shakil beat Abdul Momin, Amin drew with Jeweland  Parag beat Zafrul Islam.
