Rajshahi reach Super Six as last team in Youth Hockey

Rajshahi DSA emerged as group champion to reach the Super Six of the Araf Apparels 21st National Youth Hockey Competition as the last team, outplaying Dinajpur DSA by 5-0 goals at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
Earlier, five teams -- BKSP, Dhaka, Munshiganj, Mymensingh and Faridpur DSAs -- emerged group champions to reach the Super Six of the meet.
Rajshahi DSA enjoyed a 3-0 lead in the first half of the one-sided affair.
Mohammad Kawser Hossain, Mohammad Lemon Hossain scored two goals each for Rajshahi DSA while Mohammad Sabbir Hossain netted the other goal for the winners.
In the day's other match, Sylhet DSA beat Panchagarh DSA by 2-1 goals after having a 1-0 lead in the first half.
Rajon Mia and Ashraful scored for Sylhet DSA while De Costa netted the lone goal for Panchagarh DSA.
Meanwhile, the Super Six begins today (Monday) with two matches scheduled for the day.
Defending champions BKSP takes on Mymensingh DSA in the first match at 11:00 am while Dhaka DSA faces Faridpur DSA in the second match at 1:30pm.
