Rakib finishes 3rd in National \\\'A\\\' Chess

Last year's champion GM Abdullah Al-Rakib finished 3rd position in the 40th Berger Paints National 'A' Chess beating his teammate GM Enamul Hossain in a play-off match Saturday at the Bangladesh Chess Federation in the city, reports BSS.

Rakib won against Enamul in the first game by 1.5-0.5 points and drew the second game in two games play-off match.

Enamul took the 4th position while IM Minhazuddin Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy finished 5th position.

Minhaz beat his teammate in the play-off match by 1.5- 0.5 points.

Minhaz drew with Nasir in the first game; however, he won the second game.

FM Aminul Islam of Bangladesh Navy became 9th and Debaraj finished 10th.
