MADRID, Aug 17 (AFP): Real Madrid ended their three-game pre- season losing streak with a 3-1 win over Cadiz in a Carranza Cup semi-final Thursday.
Real Madrid's Roberto Soldado opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 12th minute after teammate Javier Saviola was tackled just inside the box.
Enrique equalised in the 60th minute with a powerful shot that Real's new keeper Jerzy Dudek, formerly of Liverpool, could do nothing to stop.
Real's Dutch striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy put his side in the lead again with a header from a corner in the 74th minute and Javier Balboa rounded off the scoring in extra time.
Real Madrid player Mahamadou Diarra was sent off after tussling with Cadiz's Enrique.
The Carranza Cup is a pre-season tournament which has been held in Cadiz for over half a century.
