Ronit, Prarthana of India earn double crowns

Bishit Ronit and Thombare Prarthana of India earned double crowns in the Prime Bank ATF Under-14 Tennis Tournament that concluded at the Ramna National Tennis Complex in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF) President AMM Nasiruddin was the chief guest at the closing function and distributed the prizes.
Managing Director of tournament sponsor Prime Bank Limited M Shahjahan Bhuiyan was present at the function as special guest. BTF General Secretary M Sanaul Haque was also present.
Ronit clinched the boys' singles title beating his compatriot Mayur Mohit 6-3, 7-5 in the event's final in the afternoon.
He also shared the boys' doubles title with his teammate Ronit beating Tachi Ryoto of Japan and Goghari Aashman of India 6-4, 6-4 in the event's final this morning.
Indian girl Prarthana, who won the girls' singles title beating her compatriot Hegde Riddhi 6-2, 6-0 Saturday, today shared the girls' doubles title with her compatriot Bhagvat Vaideshi defeating another Indian pair Namita Bal and VKC Vishesh 6-1, 7-6 (5) in the final.
