S Korea down Iraq in Asia Cup warm-up

SEOUL, Jun 29 (AP): With the Asian Cup just eight days away, title aspirants South Korea swept aside rival Iraq 3-0 in a warm-up friendly Friday.
Yeom Ki-hoon got his first goal for his country after 50 minutes of the match in the southern Korean island of Jeju. Winger Lee Chun-soo struck 30 minutes later and there was still time for Lee Kun-ho to seal the comfortable win for the home team.
Despite the absence of injured English-based stars such as Park Ji-sung, Lee Young-pyo and Seol Ki-hyeon -both for this match and the July 7-29 Asian Cup - South Korea dominated most of the game.
