Saadi emerges group champion

Former Bangladesh national champion and national sports award winner Saidul Haque Saadi emerged group champion in the Stag 17th World Veterans Table Tennis Championship, now being held in Auckland, New Zealand, reports UNB.

Saadi, in his first appearance in the World Veterans TT Championship, clinched the group title beating his German rival by 3-1 sets and Singaporean rival by straight 3-0 sets Monday.

The World Veterans Table Tennis Championship is being held in Auckland with the participation of retired national players of the games.
